How age is calculated
Your age is the number of full years since your birth date, then the full months since your last birthday, then the days left over. If the day of the month hasn't come around yet, we borrow from the previous month, the same way you'd do it by hand.
For example, someone born on June 15, 1990 is 36 years, 4 months and 6 days old on October 21, 2026.
What about leap-day birthdays?
If you were born on February 29, this calculator treats February 28 as your birthday in years that aren't leap years. Some people celebrate on March 1 instead, and the legal rule differs by country.
